I don’t like to repeat myself or others in my writing.
Plus, I’m looking for new ways to approach our challenges. I imagine old thoughts won’t bring new worldviews.
So I consider it my job as a non-fiction writer to find new things to say. Or new ways of saying things, at least.
I’m not even sure that’s a good strategy. What I’m sure is it’s hard as hell.
Most things I know how to say have been said by others. Or me.
Like, repeatedly.
I have no choice but to write my posts not knowing what I’m going to say. I never knew much but now I don’t know for a living.
The idea I may not have anything good to say feels intimidating. When you stare at the blank page, it stares back at you.
But somehow I keep volunteering.
