I’ve never been a competitive guy. In my 34 years, I’ve had just a few instances where I’ve felt that I’d rather die than give up.
Yet, those moments are probably some of the highlights of my life. That feeling is indescribable.
The thing is, being competitive feels unstable to me. Even harmful. How do I hold that posture? And how do I keep it from turning against me?
Anyhow, watching Michael Jordan play and speak today made me want in again. If being competitive is what made him what he is, I’m going back for that skill.
Plus, it seems pretty healthy for him. But how?
Small acts of big daring, perhaps? Thousands and thousands of those.
